WHY AN ECO HOTEL?
Following our philosophy on the sustainability of natural resources, we believe Galápagos is not just another pretty place. The archipelago is the birthplace for today’s scientific thinking, where an intimate contact with nature is felt right at everyone’s fingertips.
With so much to offer, and so much fragility around us, our environmental commitment couldn't’t be more evident. With our practices, we ensure guests that Finch Bay Eco Hotel treats the Galápagos environment the way it deserves. This alone, is a unique benefit, as no other lodging facility on the islands contributes this much to the preservation of the archipelago. The common ground for achieving out-of-the-ordinary results and low environmental impact, rely at these practices:
- Modern water and sewage treatment plant
- Solar panels for water heating
- Environmental interpretation with our local Naturalists
- Community involvement (social and environmental)
- Recycling, Reusing and Reduction of solid waste garbage
- Active members of Foundation Galápagos-Ecuador projects
The Galápagos archipelago is an enchanted place, its very nature is powerful and inspiring; peaceful and magical, and above all, unique. The ideal spot for an unforgettable vacation.
